BG&E DISTRIBUTING DRY ICE TO CUSTOMERS WITHOUT POWER
BALTIMORE, July 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Baltimore Gas and Electric Company (NYSE: BGE) is now distributing 100,000 pounds of dry ice to customers still without electric service following yesterday afternoon's storm.
The free distribution is taking place at the Ruhl Armory, located at York Road and West Road in Towson, Md., south of the Beltway at Exit 26; and at the Howard County National Guard Armory at Montgomery Road and Old Columbia Pike, and the Northwood Plaza at Argonne Drive and Hillen Road.
The dry ice will be bagged in 10-14 pound blocks and should be placed in the freezer section of refrigerators only. It will keep food preserved for approximately 24 hours. Do not place dry ice in the cool section of the refrigerator because it may cause freezing.
The dry ice distribution is limited to residential customers only. Customers are limited to one bag per refrigeration unit.
For more information on the dry ice distribution, customers may call 410-685-0123.
