 BB:BFTI BFTI Brownfields Tax Incentive ) Thursday announced it had received approval from the Peruvian Ministry of Interior, which is in charge of the armed forces and police, to conduct trials with the navy.

Tests will be conducted on 100 individuals using BFTI's rapid assay test for the HIV HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus), either of two closely related retroviruses that invade T-helper lymphocytes and are responsible for AIDS. There are two types of HIV: HIV-1 and HIV-2. HIV-1 is responsible for the vast majority of AIDS in the United States.  1/2 virus. These trials are the first step required by the navy department to qualify a product for purchase. The navy department plans on making HIV tests available for all naval personnel and their families. This specific Peruvian market could provide BFTI with sales up to $4 million in 1996.
