BFI settles sex discrimination claim.


BFI BFI - brute force and ignorance  Waste Services, which does business as Allied Waste Services of Little Rock, has agreed to pay $190,780 to settle a sex discrimination complaint filed by the federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission on behalf of three women who were denied jobs.

 accused BFI of not even allowing one of the qualified women to apply for a truck driving position while the other two were allowed to apply but rejected.

In addition to paying the settlement to the women, BFI has agreed to do more recruitment of women drivers and to submit hiring reports to the EEOC for three years.
