SEAL BEACH, Calif., Aug. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Bette Bardeen has been named vice president, business practices, for Rockwell International Corporation (NYSE: ROK), the company announced today. Bardeen's appointment fills a newly created position established by Rockwell in response to the growing number of federal and state regulations affecting major corporations.
"The creation of this new corporate post reinforces Rockwell's longstanding commitment to conducting all of its operations in a responsive and ethical manner, and in compliance with the spirit, as well as the letter of state and federal regulations," said Donald R. Prior to this appointment, she served as an assistant general counsel, a position she held since 1981 when she joined Rockwell.
Before joining Rockwell, Bardeen practiced law in Los Angeles with Seyfarth, Shaw, Fairweather & Geraldson from 1976 to 1981, Bardeen, Bersch & Kaplowitz from 1974 to 1976, and Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher from 1970 to 1974.
