BETHLEHEM, NATIONAL CONTRACT SUMMARIES MAILED TO USWA MEMBERS; VOTE COUNTS SCHEDULED FOR END OF MONTH

 PITTSBURGH, Aug. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- The United Steelworkers of America (USWA) announced today that votes on tentative contract agreements with the Bethlehem (NYSE: BS) and National (NYSE: NS) steel corportions will be counted here late this month.
 The schedule is Aug. 27 for National; Aug. 30 for Bethlehem.
 Members employed by the two companies and eligible to vote will soon receive summaries of their respective agreements, along with ballots and pre-addressed, stamped envelopes.
 The National summary was mailed to about 6,700 members on Aug. 12. The Bethlehem agreement will be mailed Aug. 17 to about 10,500 members.
 Harry Lester, director of USWA District 29, and Paul Aldridge, director of USWA District 34, were chairman and secretary, respectively, of the USWA's National Steel Negotiating Committee. John H. Reck, director of USWA District 7, chaired the union's Bethlehem Committee; David Wilson, director of USWA District 8, was secretary of the Bethlehem committee.
