Crazy Town appears Saturday with Slaves on Dope Slaves on Dope was a Canadian nu metal band, based out of Los Angeles, California. Surely you have something better to do this weekend than watch television. No? OK then, there are a lot of oddball holiday specials out there trying to cash in on the spirit, such as it is, of the season. The Discovery Channel offers a repeat of its holiday programming, ``The Science of Christmas'' (9 p.m. Saturday), which explains, among other things, how Santa manages to fill every stocking around the planet in a mere 24 hours. ``Timothy Tweedle'' (Toon Disney, 6 p.m. Sunday) tells the story of Santa's first elf, while yet another elf in ``Jingle Bell Rock'' (Toon Disney, 4:30 p.m. Sunday) must write a hit holiday single to save Santa and, by extrapolation (mathematics, algorithm) extrapolation - A mathematical procedure which estimates values of a function for certain desired inputs given values for known inputs. If the desired input is outside the range of the known values this is called extrapolation, if it is inside then , Christmas. House and Garden TV has the biggest stretches, however: ``The White House Christmas'' (10 p.m. Saturday) focuses on the decorating of George W. Bush's future residence; ``Surprise Gardener Holiday Special'' (7 p.m. Sunday) features Susie Coehlo drawing some overtime pay cobbling together some December-themed gardens (which is not to say that they're all brown and parched parch v. parched, parch·ing, parch·es v.tr. 1. To make extremely dry, especially by exposure to heat: The midsummer sun parched the earth. ); and Willard Scott presents a hodgepodge of celebrations that you're not participating in, in ``Christmas Across America'' (8 p.m. Sunday). More traditional seasonal entertainment is available at 3 p.m. Sunday, when KCET KCET Konami Computer Entertainment Tokyo (Japan) KCET Kamaraj College of Engineering and Technology presents the 41st annual Los Angeles County Holiday Celebration, featuring local choirs and other music, live from the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion The Dorothy Chandler Pavilion is one of the halls in the Los Angeles Music Center (which is one of the three largest performing arts centers in the United States). Everybody who's anybody in the Happiest Place on Earth will be there: Mickey, of course, as well as Goofy, Donald Duck, those dancing Small World dolls and a squad of Mouseketeers. The show also includes many Disney movie stars, from Snow White and Cinderella to Mulan and Buzz Lightyear. Tonight's tickets are opening-night priced at $10, while other performances run $10-$22.
