BERGEN BRUNSWIG EXTENDS EXCLUSIVE VENDOR CONTRACT WITH AMERICAN MEDICAL INTERNATIONAL INC.

 ORANGE, Calif., Dec. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Bergen Brunswig Corp. (AMEX: BBC) announced that it has renewed its exclusive vendor agreement to distribute wholesale pharmaceutical products to American Medical International Inc. (AMI). Based in Dallas, AMI has 36 hospitals located primarily in the South.
 The agreement extends from Nov. 1, 1993 through Oct. 31, 1997, and is expected to generate approximately $200 million in sales for Bergen Brunswig over the term of the contract.
 Robert E. Martini, chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Bergen Brunswig, said: "We are pleased to be able to continue our long-term partnership and proud to be a participant with AMI in the low- cost delivery of quality health care."
