RAFA BENITEZ has admitted he will be forced to sell before he can buy his top targets to challenge for the title again next season.

Benitez is keen to sign David Silva David JosuĂ© Silva (born January 8, 1986 in Arguineguin, Spain), is a footballer who plays as a midfielder for Valencia CF and the Spanish national football team, he is of Portuguese origin.  and Raul Albiol, plus last year's top target Gareth Barry Gareth Barry (born February 23, 1981 in Hastings, East Sussex), is an English footballer and captain of Aston Villa. He also plays for England. Along with former team-mate Gareth Southgate, he was the only player to play in both final matches at the old Wembley Stadium, once for  to strengthen his squad. He also needs an attacking right back.

But he will only have around pounds 25million to spend without selling first.

"I have an idea of who we want, but maybe we need to sell someone to increase what I already have to spend," he said. "Every year it is important to sign good players, the right players, and this year even more so." Ryan Babel is likely to go and Daniel Agger is a target for Milan and Juventus.

Andriy Voronin could stay at Hertha Berlin.
