LANCASTER - Former Gov. Jerry Brown was guest of honor at the dedication of a resale store raising funds for a nonprofit organization that supports relatives of murder victims.

Brown, now Oakland's mayor and a candidate for California attorney general, spoke at Hidden Treasures Charity Resale Boutique.

The store is operated by Justice for Homicide Victims, a Malibu-based organization that provides support and resources for homicide victims' families.

The store is at 43795 15th St. W. Its Web site is www.justiceforhomicidevictims.com.

Also speaking was Steve Ipsen, president of the Association of Deputy District Attorneys and vice president of the California Bar Association; JHV chairwoman Marcella Leach; and JHV's Marguerite Hemphill, a Palmdale resident who manages the new store.
