The Assistance League of Santa Clarita Santa Clarita, city (1990 pop. 110,642), Los Angeles co., S Calif., suburb 30 mi (48 km) NW of downtown Los Angeles, on the Santa Clara River; inc. 1987. Situated in the Santa Clara valley and nearby canyons, Santa Clarita includes the former towns of Canyon Country,  will combine fashion and fund- raising during its 16th annual fashion show, luncheon, auction and boutique taking place Saturday at the Hyatt Valencia.

This year's theme is ``All That Glitters'' and the show will feature fashions from ANGL, J Serraino, Take Two and Tuxedo Revue revue, a stage presentation that originated in the early 19th cent. as a light, satirical commentary on current events. Tickets to ``All That Glitters'' are $65 and can be purchased by calling (661) 296-4191. All proceeds from this event will help fund the League's six philanthropic projects sponsored throughout the year.

Operation School Bell provides shoes, clothing and backpacks to school-age children who are in need. Teddy Bear Patrol provides teddy bears to local law enforcement and emergency agencies and the local mall, to comfort children involved in incidents such as traffic crashes, crimes or domestic-violence situations or even those who are lost and frightened.
