BENEFIT BREAKFAST SET FOR SHERIFF'S EXPLORERS.Byline: Greg Botonis Staff Writer LANCASTER - A motorcycle club This article is about "American-style" motorcycle clubs (MCs) as a specific cultural phenomenon, not motorcycle riding clubs in the generic sense of the term. A Motorcycle Club formed by former and active law enforcement officials will host a pancake pancake, thin, flat cake, made of batter and baked on a griddle or fried in a pan. Pancakes, probably the oldest form of bread, are known in different forms throughout the world. breakfast Saturday in an effort to raise money for the Palmdale sheriff's station's teenage volunteers. Breakfast will be served by Palmdale sheriff's Explorers with the assistance of the Outlaw Pigs motorcycle club; all proceeds from the event will go to a general fund for the Explorers. ``Those volunteers do a great service and we want to help them out,'' said Dale Hedges, founder of the Outlaw Pigs. ``We're hoping to raise about $2,000 for them.'' Sheriff's Explorers are teens who assist the Sheriff's Department as volunteers and are trained in basic police procedures. The program is designed to introduce young people to careers in law enforcement. Training begins with a boot-camp style introduction every Saturday for eight weeks. The training includes physical fitness, basic criminal and traffic law, the department's morals and ethics ethics, in philosophy, the study and evaluation of human conduct in the light of moral principles. Moral principles may be viewed either as the standard of conduct that individuals have constructed for themselves or as the body of obligations and duties that a standards, sexual-harassment policy, cultural diversity, physical training, personal safety and self-defense self-defense In criminal law, an affirmative defense (e.g., to a murder charge) alleging that the defendant used serious force necessarily for self-protection.
