THE RONALDO slagging is merciless but Stephen Hunt believes his change of set-piece delivery has helped him push Ireland to the brink of qualification.

Hunt again delivered the telling cross when he found Sean St Ledger to prompt a thrilling climax to Ireland's clash with Italy.

"The boys give me a bit of stick because I stand a bit like Ronaldo," he smiled. "Its just the two steps.

"I seem to stand upright, just to get myself in a routine of doing the right thing. Especially when I was at Reading, the boys used to take the mick out of me. Basically, don't even try and bend it like Ronaldo."
