BELO SIGNS DEFINITIVE PURCHASE AGREEMENT FOR KIRO-TV.DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 30, 1994--A.H. Belo Corporation has signed a definitive purchase agreement in connection with its previously-announced acquisition from KIRO, Inc. and Bonneville Holding Company, affiliates of Bonneville International Corporation, of station KIRO-TV in Seattle, Wash. Applications will be filed shortly by the parties to obtain the approvals of the appropriate government agencies to the transaction. Belo owns and operates network-affiliated television stations WFAA-TV (ABC ABC in full American Broadcasting Co. Major U.S. television network. It began when the expanding national radio network NBC split into the separate Red and Blue networks in 1928. ) in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas; KHOU-TV (CBS (Cell Broadcast Service) See cell broadcast. ) in Houston, Texas; KXTV (CBS) in Sacramento, Calif.; WVEC-TV (ABC) in Hampton-Norfolk, Va.; WWL-TV (CBS) in New Orleans, La.; and KOTV (CBS) in Tulsa, Okla.; as well as Belo Productions, Inc.
