BELL-JEFF MAKING THE MOST OF SUMMER BASKETBALL: GUARDS GIRLS' TEAM CONTINUES ITS SUCCESSFUL OFFSEASON.

The Bell-Jeff of Burbank girls' basketball team has picked up right where it left off last season.

The Guards, who finished 25-6 and advanced to the Southern Section Div. IV-AA finals in March, are having a very productive summer as evidenced by their 67-45 victory against Wilson of Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  on Wednesday in the first round of the Bell-Jeff summer tournament.

Bell-Jeff jumped out to a 24-3 lead just nine minutes in and emptied the bench the rest of the way.

Shelley Gupilan scored 19points and Julia Tani had 17 points.

In other games, Burroughs of Burbank beat Westlake, Glendale beat Washington Prep of Los Angeles, Keppel of Alhambra beat Crescenta Valley The Crescenta Valley is a small inland valley in Los Angeles County, California.
