BELL ATLANTIC TO SELL DIGIBOARD IMAC PRODUCTS

MINNEAPOLIS, June 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Digi International (NASDAQ: DGII) today announced that Bell Atlantic's Teleproducts subsidiary will sell DigiBoard Telecom Group's IMAC product line of ISDN equipment. This relationship builds on a strategic alliance formed between the two corporations in November 1992. Bell Atlantic account executives and customers can now place orders for DigiBoard's products through TeleProducts, making Bell Atlantic a single source for ISDN lines and DigiBoard's ISDN CPE (Customer Premises Equipment). DigiBoard's IMAC products provide a completely transparent connection between Ethernet LANs and Basic Rate ISDN.
"Incorporating DigiBoard's ISDN products into TeleProducts existing ISDN product line enables TeleProducts to offer complete ISDN CPE solutions for telecommunicating and LAN-to-LAN connectivity applications to Bell Atlantic customers," said Rick Macek, president of Bell Atlantic TeleProducts.
"Bell Atlantic account executives can identify opportunities and act as a single point of contact for ISDN services and equipment backed by DigiBoard's support and technical expertise. In the spirit of Bell Atlantic's Network Alliance Program, this relationship builds upon the strengths of both companies in order to offer our customers the best solutions and service possible," said Eric Goldstein, relationship manager for Bell Atlantic Network Services, Inc.
"We're excited about packaging IMAC products with ISDN service. LAN managers seeking high speed LAN connections now have a convenient, cost- effective solution," said Ham Mathews, general manager, DigiBoard Telecom Group.
ISDN is an all-digital network that integrates voice, data and image services on a single telephone line. The service offers transmission speeds that are much faster than standard analog phone lines. ISDN has already been tariffed with Centrex throughout the Bell Atlantic region. Non-Centrex ISDN will be available in all Bell Atlantic jurisdictions later this year.
