BELL ATLANTIC MOBILE SELLS INET'S SPIDER MODEM.


Bell Atlantic Mobile has combined Inet's Spider Cellular Digital Packet Data (communications, protocol) Cellular Digital Packet Data - (CDPD) A wireless standard providing two-way, 19.2 kbps packet data transmission over exisiting cellular telephone channels.  modem with Bell Atlantic Mobile's extensive AirBridge wireless data service.

Mobile users can now purchase Inet's Spider CDPD (Cellular Digital Packet Data) A low-speed, digital, wireless data network that is an enhancement to an existing analog cellular network. Based on IBM's CelluPlan II, CDPD provides a packet overlay onto the AMPS network and moves data at 19.  modem at the special price of $499, when they sign up for Bell Atlantic Mobile's AirBridge wireless data service at the flat rate of $39.95 per month for unlimited wireless Internet access See how to access the Internet.  and email usage.

Inet's Spider CDPD modem offers a simple, single-card design for a wireless connection to Bell Atlantic Mobile's wireless data services. With Inet's Spider, users have access to critical data, files and applications without bulky equipment or tangled cables. The modem fits completely into the Type III PC card slot of any laptop computer and does not require an external power supply.
