BEITH GOW ON A GOAL SPREE; JUNIOR ACTION.

Byline: DREW COCHRANE reports

BEITH 3

GLENAFTON 1

BEITH cashed in on a red card for Andy Gow to dump the visitors with three second-half strikes.

The Glens defender's punishment for a last-man challenge on Kenny McLean saw his side down to 10 men before the interval and changed the game.

Glenafton dominated the first half and Chris Zoc almost fired them ahead in the second minute but his shot flew wide.

Craig Feroz saw a thumping free-kick tipped over by Keith Ross as Glens pressed for the opener.

Feroz played in Jamie Doyle after 20 minutes but the midfielder headed over from six yards.

Ross handled when Beith defender Craig Brittain Craig Brittain (born 10 January 1974 in Glasgow, Scotland) is a Scottish footballer who currently plays in defence for Dumbarton in the Scottish Second Division. Trivia

passed back under pressure but to the away supporters' fury ref Kevin Clancey took no action.

Gow saw a free-kick from his own half deflected inches past in 35 minutes.

But the stopper became a sinner in 44 minutes when he got his marching orders for taking out McLean at the edge of the box.

Reid gave Beith the lead two minutes after the restart, getting on the end of Brian McKeown's delivery to flick a header home.

Reid almost grabbed a second when presented with an opening after 55 minutes but Chris Fahey pulled off a good save.

Feroz passed up a chance at the other end before sub John Craig This article is about the Scottish mathematician. For other persons named John Craig, see John Craig (disambiguation).

sealed the points for Beith in the 73rd minute, linking up with McLean to fire low past Fahey.

Four minutes later it was three when SteveMcGregor could only turn another Craig effort into his own net.

The visitors pulled one back near the end when sub John McMillan John McMillan may refer to:
