has been promised a few pints of Plymouth's finest ales if he can fire Reading to victory at Norwich tonight.

A win for the Royals at Carrow Road Coordinates:

will guarantee Argyle's place in the Championship after Paul Sturrock's men managed a goalless draw at cashrich QPR.

Plymouth skipper Karl Duguid, who was a neighbour of Kitson and went to the same school, says he will promise his old mate a few beers if the Reading man can put Norwich down.

"Hopefully Dave A file sharing program from Thursby Software Systems, Inc., Arlington, TX (www.thursby.com) that allows a Macintosh to share files with a PC. Designed specifically for and needing installation only on the Mac, DAVE works with Microsoft's native SMB/CIFS file sharing protocols and uses  can do me a favour," said Duguid.

"I will send him a text, wish him all the best and hopefully he'll score the goal that helps us out.

There'll be more than a pint on offer if he does! "His mum and dad live in the same street as my parents in Hertfordshire and we went to the same junior school but he was in the year below me.

"We both went on to be professional footballers and that does not happen that often.

"It did not go as planned at Stoke but he's gone back to Reading, where he really enjoyed his time.

"He wants to get them into the play-offs, they want to keep their momentum going and hopefully they can do that against Norwich." Plymouth face relegation rivals Barnsley at Home Park on Sunday and Duguid insists Argyle are confident of staying up even if Kitson and Co fail to do them a favour against the Canaries.

"We have a great chance of staying up," he added.

"Everyone below us is under greater pressure and Norwich have to win. "If they do, Barnsley have to beat us at home and we're full of confidence." QPR caretaker boss Gareth Ainsworth admits he has no idea whether he will be allowed a crack at the top job at Loftus Road.

He said: "I know I'm in charge at Preston next week and then we've got a tour to Bahrain.

"The people upstairs who make decisions will decide and things will be sorted out in the summer."
