BECKS: LET ME STAY AT MILAN; EXCLUSIVE.

DAVID BECKHAM last night insisted he wants to stay with AC Milan.

The England star's lawyers have opened talks with LA Galaxy to seal a permanent move to the Italian giants.

And following AC Milan's 2-2 draw with Rangers at Ibrox, Beckham said: "I want to stay here in Milan for the next two or three seasons and I see my future here. I've made it clear my intentions are to stay here and now it's out of my hands so we'll wait and see. I don't know how Galaxy will take it.

"I respect the Galaxy and I respect what they did for me when I moved there but I've expressed my desire to stay in Milan and hopefully the clubs can come to some agreement."

Beckham, 33, is currently on loan with Milan from the MLS outfit but he's desperate to make the move permanent.

He added: "Milan has been a lot better than I thought it would be. I expected to enjoy it but I didn't expect to enjoy as much as I have and also to play every game like I have."

Beckham has a get-out in his LA Galaxy contract which will allow him to leave the MLS for nothing in November.

Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani yesterday claimed negotiations between Galaxy and the player's legal team have already started.

But he described as "absolute fantasy" claims that Milan were willing to pay pounds 14million for Beckham.

That is because Milan know of a clause in Beckham's fiveyear contract which allows both parties to terminate the deal after three years. This getout clause can be activated on November 30. Galaxy face a choice of selling Beckham now or losing him for nothing later.
