Beautyandthebeast closed strongly to overtake pacesetter Berbatim by a head in Wednesday's $63,700 Swingtime Stakes for fillies and mares at Santa Anita's Oak Tree meeting.

The victory, worth $38,220, increased Beautyandthebeast's career earnings to $185,184 on five wins in 13 starts.
