SOAP AWAY THE RAYS

How would you like an extra layer of protection on your skin, to fend off the potentially damaging effects of the sun? Bethesda Skincare has come out with the first all-natural, SPF 10 sunscreen soap. Washing daily with the soap provides an invisible layer of sunscreen protection, helping to prevent wrinkles, crow's feet and age spots. The all-natural product is non-oily and hypo-allergenic, and contains aloe vera gel, healing balm of Gilead, glycerin and chlorophyll. A 4.5-ounce bar is $8 at www.bethesdaskincare.com. The soap is expected to be in stores nationwide later this year.

E.L.F. combines natural mineral and botanical ingredients to create a line of products that works for multiple skin types and tones and is non-irritating -- the mineral makeup is free of parabens, preservatives and chemical dyes. The starter kit includes foundation, concealer, blush, a face brush and a blush brush, in a zippered canvas case. It retails for $20 at www.eyeslipsface.com.

What's the key to good skin care? A good cleanser, a good toner and a good moisturizer. Whether you're looking for your first skin-care regimen, or just trying to simplify a current routine, the wealth of skin-care options available can be overwhelming. Kiehl's Since 1851 streamlines skin care with its new Ultra Facial Cleanser ($17.50) and Ultra Facial Toner ($15), two new additions to the Ultra Facial line that includes the Moisturizer ($18.50). The new products are good for all skin types and contain Ultra Facial's core ingredients of Squalane, Apricot Kernel Oil, Avocado Oil and vitamins C and E. The products are available at Nordstrom, Bloomingdale's, Neiman Marcus and at Kiehl's stores at The Grove, 189 The Grove Drive, Los Angeles; 1516 Montana Ave., Santa Monica; and 100 N. Robertson Blvd., Beverly Hills.
