John Huber has been named president of crop nutrients for the Chicago-based IMC (Internet Mail Consortium, Santa Cruz, CA, www.imc.org) An industry trade association founded in 1996 by Paul Hoffman and Dave Crocker that promotes Internet e-mail standards and features.  Global Inc. Prior to this appointment, Huber, former head of IMC Kalium at Belle Plaine, was most recently president of IMC Potash.

International Road Dynamics (IRD) has appointed Randy Hanson as the executive vice-president and chief operating officer Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Centennial Plumbing, Heating and Electrical was selected for the third consecutive year as the North Saskatoon Business Association's (NSBA's) Business Builder of the Year.

Healthserv (Sask.) won the NSBA Business Builder award for New Direction.

Kocsis Transport Ltd. earned the NSBA Business Builder Award for Management Quality.

The NSBA Business Builder award for Team Building was bestowed upon Canada West Truck Centre.

Past NSBA president Wayne Wilson, owner of Business Furnishings, was named NSBA Member of the Year.

The Humboldt and District Chamber of Commerce selected Wentz Sporting Shop as the Business of the Year with the criteria being less than 10 employees. The Business of the Year to a business with 10 or more employees went to A & W Humboldt.

The Saskatchewan Economic Developers Association has named Saskatoon REDA director Ann Broda as its Economic Developer for the Year 2001.

LuAnn Mitchell, chair of Mitchell's Gourmet Foods, is among a select group of 40 women being inducted as one of "The Leading Women Entrepreneurs of the World" by the STAR (Strategies, Technologies, Alliances and Resources) Group of Companies.
