Chaminade High School's boys' basketball team, expected to rank among the top three teams in the area next season, will be adding a top transfer student this fall in Camarillo's 6-foot-5 Justin Beach.

Beach has applied to attend the West Hills private school under open enrollment. He would be a key addition to a Chaminade team that already returns All-Southern Section forward Scott Long and point guard Cayce Cook.

Beach was Camarillo's leading scorer this past season, averaging 17.3 points. Beach told Camarillo Camarillo (kă'mərē`yō), city (1990 pop. 52,303), Ventura co., S Calif.; inc. 1964.
