Systinet, a leading software provider of the foundation for SOA governance and lifecycle management, today announced that BEA Systems Inc. will resell the Systinet Registry as a component of the company's new service-oriented architecture (SOA) product family, called AquaLogic. Systinet's Registry was chosen for its ability to give increased SOA visibility, governance and service lifecycle management to enterprises, making it possible to discover, reuse, and ensure quality and consistency of services in an SOA.

Under the terms of the worldwide agreement BEA, a world leader in enterprise infrastructure software, helping companies improve business responsiveness through SOA to more closely align IT with business objectives, will incorporate the Systinet Registry into BEA's AquaLogic product family and re-brand the product as BEA AquaLogic Service Registry. Systinet Registry captures detailed SOA service description and usage information into a centrally managed, reliable, searchable business services registry. Systinet Registry is the only registry to fully support the latest UDDI (Universal Description, Discovery and Integration) An industry initiative for a universal business registry (catalog) of Web services turned over to the stewardship of OASIS in 2002 as the version 3 specification of UDDI was released.  V3 specification for broad interoperability and enterprise class deployments and is the most feature-complete SOA registry available today, becoming the "System-of-Record" for all SOA information.

However, it is important to fully realizing these benefits that companies have a system for managing the loosely coupled components. The BEA AquaLogic Messaging Product Line, with the Systinet Registry as a key component, can help companies to gain control of and manage their SOA.
