Fire/Rescue Analysis Tools (FAT(TM)) provides fire professionals with advanced GIS analytical capabilities that until now were available only to GIS professionals. FAT is an ArcGISTM extension designed to assist in the review and analysis of response times, changing demands, station placement and move-up.

FAT leverages robust functionality developed for BCS's award winning Crime Analysis Tools (CAT(TM)) to provide a performance analysis tool that will simplify the examination of run reports and dispatch data to identify trends and improve efficiency. The ability to access and analyze detailed run information is critical for fire professionals and their managers who are experiencing decreasing budgets and more calls for service.

FAT is easy to use for both new and experienced ArcGIS users. Custom wizards guide users through data import, creation of pin maps, analysis of calls for service, map production and much more. FAT has the ability to store customized queries so that new pin maps and reports can be generated quickly.

"This is the first reasonably priced ArcGIS extension designed specifically to calculate station service areas, illustrate response time problem areas and visualize changing patterns of demand over time", said BCS President, Tony Bradshaw. "We are very excited to be offering this new tool to the fire/rescue community in this time of tight budgets and increasing demands."

BCS will demonstrate this exciting new product in booth #509 at the Fire Department Instructor's Conference in Indianapolis, IN from April 29 to May 1, 2004.
