Louis Tanguay, President and Chief Executive Officer of Bell Canada International Inc. ("BCI") announced today the appointment of Mr. Robert Bouchard as Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer of the Corporation.

Previously BCI's Vice-President, Operations Support, Mr. Bouchard (46) brings to his new position a broad range of experience in the telecommunications sector gained over a 25 year career, including senior positions in Canadian and foreign operations involving outside plant engineering, network design, construction, installation and repair, contract administration and customer services.

BCI owns, develops and operates advanced communications companies in markets outside Canada, with an increasing focus on South America.
