Effective today, Mr. Bill Anderson has joined the Board of Directors and has been elected Chairman of the Board of BCI. He replaces Mr. Jean Monty, who will remain a Director of the Company and will also be a Director of the newly-formed South-American company, Telecom Americas Ltd.

BCI also announced that Mr. Howard Hendrick has been appointed Executive Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer of the Company, effective January 15, 2001. Mr. Hendrick will be replacing Mr. Siim Vanaselja, who will be assuming the position of Chief Financial Officer of BCI's majority shareholder, BCE Inc., effective the same day.
