 and Tamkeen Tamkeen is a center that is established by the government of Dubai to help people with vision impairment problems get hold of the latest advances in the IT field and acquire other skills that they need for the labour market. The centre was opened in March 2004. .

The bank has taken in two batches into its retail banking associate programme that has attracted promising local talent.

The eight-week course will be managed by local training provider Capital Knowledge and incorporates all the features of modern retail banking and includes practical laboratory settings to familiarise participants with retail banking operations.

Those who successfully complete the course will be absorbed into BBK's growing retail banking operation.

'The main focus of launching this employment programme, in partnership with Tamkeen last year was to ensure that BBK, as a major player in the financial sector in Bahrain Bahrain or Bahrein (both: bärān`, bə–), officially Kingdom of Bahrain, constitutional monarchy and archipelago (2005 est. pop. 688,300), 266 sq mi (689 sq km), in the Persian Gulf. , contributes in enhancing development and creating the employment opportunities in the kingdom for young Bahraini graduates,' said BBK assistant general manager, human resource and administration, A Hussain Bustani.
