According to Chief Technology Officer Mike Erhart, the agreement will provide Broadband with a secure infrastructure to deliver its services.

According to Erhart, Broadband Wireless Communications Corporation intents to provide "last mile" wireless connectivity in more than 30 cities over the next 12 to 18 months, primarily in the western and central U.S. Erhart said the first seven cities scheduled to go on line in the next six to eight months include Tulsa and Broadband's home base, Oklahoma City.

"The agreement with MCI WorldCom will provide Broadband with wholesale pricing on long distance services, as well as bandwidth for video conferencing services, Internet connectivity and other broadband telecommunications services," Erhart said.

Erhart said the agreement between Broadband Wireless Communications Corporation and MCI WorldCom includes possible co-location of resources in many of the areas Broadband intends to service.
