BB's Shilpa a victim? I don't really think so; Inside View.

Byline: John James

For other people named John James, see John James (disambiguation).

John James (c 1673- 15 May 1746) was an architect particularly associated with Twickenham in west London, where he rebuilt St. Mary's Church and built the house for Hon.

IS it just me or has there been a hysterical overreaction o·ver·re·act

Don't forget that this is a show in which the participants are usually moronic mo·ron

Those who take part are of course not completely stupid because they are paid considerable sums of money to do so.

So anyone who goes on the show should know exactly what they are in for and should not whinge whinge

or complain if they are picked on or harassed by loud-mouthed and very stupid people like Jade or Danielle.

I don't think that Jade is racist because she's not bright enough to know what it means. She is undoubtedly a bully (a reflection of her own upbringing) and she is ugly. Let's face it, if they were doing a remake of Babe she'd be a shoo-in for the lead role!

Danielle isn't racist either. She is just very, very stupid. If her IQ was any lower you wouldn't be talking to her, you'd be watering her.

But it was interesting that Danielle was accused of racism for telling Shilpa to go back to where she came from.

Shilpa actually lives in India so in my view Danielle was merely guilty of vulgar abuse.

And it would be fascinating to have seen whether there would have been the same outcry if there had been an Irish girl in the Big Brother house and she had been nicknamed Paddy by the others and told to go back to Dublin - somehow I doubt it.

But in this shambles of ignorance and intimidating intolerance one person shines out as being very bright indeed.

I have no idea whether Shilpa is really intelligent or not but she is going to come out of this squeaky clean and with the world on her side.

My bet is that she will win and be at least a dollar millionaire on the strength of this show alone.

So you can debate as much as you like whether Shilpa was racially abused or bullied, but is she a victim? I don't think so.

John James is regional chairman of the Institute of Directors.
