 BAYBANK BRINGS BOBBY ORR TO THE ICE;
 SPONSORS SKATING ON BOSTON COMMON FOR BOSTON FESTIVAL
 BOSTON, Feb. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Hockey legend and BayBank spokesman Bobby Orr made a special appearance today at the opening of public skating on the Boston Common. The event kicked off a month of activity for the second annual Boston Festival. BayBank, one of New England's leading banking organizations, sponsored Orr's appearance and the weekend of skating on the all-weather rink constructed especially for the festival.
 "BayBank is proud to have sponsored this weekend with host Bobby Orr," said Carole O'Connor, senior vice president of advertising for BayBank. "The Boston Festival is a wonderful way to celebrate winter in the city, and we're pleased to once again demonstrate BayBank's commitment to the community. We hope that everyone had a great time lacing up their skates in support of the festival."
 Orr was on hand at the Frog Pond rink in the Boston Common to sign autographs for the public and skate with children from the Girls and Boys Clubs of Boston. In addition, BayBank provided free hot chocolate and balloons to attending spectators and participants.
 Children from the Boys and Girls Clubs of Boston traveled to the Boston Common from Charleston, Roxbury and South Boston to meet with Orr and lace up their brand new skates, which they received this week courtesy of the Boston Bruins. The skates were donated by the Bruins as part of the team's "Goal for Life" program designed to encourage and promote skating among inner-city youth.
 Since retiring from professional hockey, Orr has been active in many on- and off-ice activities. He has remained dedicated to the sport of hockey, working extensively with youngsters at hockey clinics. Named spokesperson for BayBanks, Inc. in 1984, he is currently a member of the BayBank West Suburban Regional board of directors.
 BayBanks, Inc., headquartered in Boston, is one of New England's largest bank holding companies with more than 200 branch offices and over 1,000 BayBank X-Press 24(R) banking machines, and now at X-Press Banking Centers, BayBank offers consumers a full range of banking products and services.
