 BAXTER OFFERS $150 MILLION OF 8-1/8 PERCENT NOTES
 DEERFIELD, Ill., Nov. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Baxter International Inc.


(NYSE: BAX) announced today a public offering of $150 million of notes due Nov. 15, 2001. The notes bear an annual interest rate of 8-1/8 percent and are priced at 99.896 percent.
 The issue is being underwritten by Merrill Lynch & Co.; The First Boston Corporation; Goldman, Sachs & Co.; and J.P. Morgan Securities Inc. Proceeds from the sale will be used to repay existing debt.
 Baxter is the leading worldwide manufacturer and marketer of health care products, systems and services. It offers 120,000 products to health-care providers in 100 countries. The company had 1990 revenues of $8.1 billion.
