BAVC Awarded Contract With California Employment Training Panel to Train New Media Workers.


SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 1, 1999--

Bay Area Video Coalition (BAVC BAVC Bay Area Video Coalition (San Francisco, CA, USA) ) has joined forces with the State of California to provide advanced training to full-time employees in the video, film, and new media industries, at no cost to employers. Under the contract, BAVC will provide four certified tracks of training: Avid Editing, Digital Postproduction post·pro·duc·tion

) provides these funds to help California-based multimedia and digital entertaining companies remain competitive, keep the skills of high tech employees viable in today's marketplace, and ultimately contribute to the economic vitality of California.

The program will be particularly beneficial for small companies that may not have budgeted funds for advanced training. "We are very excited to have this cutting-edge training program approved," said Charles Lundberg, Marketing Director of the State of California Employment Training Panel. "This contract with the Bay Area Video Coalition will greatly help our efforts to provide high level multimedia training to the small employers who are the most in need of assistance."
