BATTERY TECHNOLOGIES INC. ISSUES STATEMENT

RICHMOND HILL, Ontario, Dec. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Battery Technologies Inc. (BTI), licensor of the new environmentally friendly Rechargeable Alkaline Manganese (RAM) battery system has been asked by the Canadian Dealer Network (CDN) to make the following statement:
Please be advised that no material changes have taken place at BTI that would in any way account for yesterday's trading activity of BTI shares.
BTI, listed on the Canadian OTC market (symbol BTI), has to date, signed six license agreements for the production and sale of AAA, AA, C and D size RAM batteries. Licenses are held by companies in Canada, Australia, Hungary, India and two in the U.S. including Rayovac, North America's third largest battery company. Product is expected to be available from at least two licensees in 1993.
The low cost, 1.5 volt RAM system effectively combines many of the performance characteristics of disposable alkaline batteries with the economic and environmental benefits of rechargeability.
