A DAD-OF-THREE was battered with a baseball bat and left in a pool of his own blood. Barry Barry, Welsh Barri, town (1991 pop. 45,053) and port, Vale of Glamorgan, S Wales, on the Bristol Channel. Once a major coal-exporting port, its more diversified export products include cement, flour, and steel products. Wyn Griffiths, 33, was hit around the head and had his leg broken by two men in Maesincla, Caernarfon, in the early hours of yesterday. Detectives hunting the pair described the attack, which left Mr Griffiths in hospital needing pins in his leg, as "vicious". The victim's sister said he was on his way to visit his brother when he was set upon. She added: "He didn't deserve this."
