BAT renovations will be done this summer.New York City Economic Development Corporation Overview New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) is a non-profit local development corporation that promotes economic growth across New York City's five boroughs. announced that the $30 million Phase IV renovation of the Brooklyn Army Terminal The Brooklyn Army Terminal consists of large complex of piers, docks, warehouses, cranes, railroad sidings and cargo loading equipment. The terminal was responsible for shipment of army equipment and personnel overseas. (BAT) will be complete this summer. This phase of the renovation project will make more than 350,000 SF of prime industrial space available for lease. Phase I of the BAT renovation program started in 1985. Since then approximately 2.6 million SF of space has been renovated. Located in the Sunset Park Sunset Park is the name for several parks including:

Alper. The newly renovated space is located on floors three through nine in Building A. Tenant spaces range in size from about 13,000 to 19,000 SF and provide quality space for companies to move into or expansion space for companies already located at BAT. Tenant spaces can be combined to create as much as 73,000 SF of space to accommodate larger companies. Zoned for light manufacturing uses, BAT is located within a state-designated economic development zone. The complex offers competitive rents, is accessible by major highways and rail freight, and provides 24/7 security. BAT is situated on 97 acres on the waterfront between 58th and 63rd Streets in Brooklyn
Design services for the Phase IV renovation were provided by LZA LZA Leading Zero Anticipator LZA Lepidoptera of South Africa Associates based on the firm's experience with similar projects, including rehabilitation of the 1.2-million-SF Federal Building 2 in Brooklyn and restoration of the facade of BAT Building B. Turner Construction Company, the original contractor for BAT, is EDC's construction manager for the project.
