But when O'Brien was sentenced to do community service for driving illegally he claimed he couldn't do the unpaid work because he suffered from nerves. O'Brien, who calls himself Peat Loaf after the Bat Out Of Hell rocker, didn't produce any medical certificates when he appeared from custody at Ayr Sheriff Court last week. O'Brien disputes he has breached the court order and says he has doctor's certificates to prove he is suffering from "nervous disability". The rock megastar said O'Brien would be the ideal man to play him in a movie based on his autobiography. Meat Loaf added: "They'll be needing a big feller so I'm going to suggest Peat Loaf - why the hell not? The guy's a dead ringer for me 20 years ago. He'll just have to work on his American accent." But the project may have to be put on hold. If Peat Loaf can't do his community service he may land a new role... in jail. Last night he had "no comment to make". |
