BAT International's TVT Race Car Sets Track Record Then Captures Second Place On Race Day.

 sponsored race car set a new track record during the second qualification run at the Cripple Creek Cripple Creek, village (1990 pop. 584), alt. 9,375 ft (2,858 m), seat of Teller co., central Colo.; inc. 1892. Primarily a summer resort, it was once a gold-mining boomtown.  Hill Climb Competition on Saturday, Aug. 18, 2001.

The new TVT track record was subsequently broken later that day by a competitor. The TVT race car captured second place on race day and still holds the second fastest time at Cripple Creek.

There is only one more race this season in the Colorado Hill Climbing Race Circuit. The TVT race team is confident to again set a new record to finish the season.

BAT International began using high performance racing vehicles for engine and alternate fuel research in 1997. The company also utilizes its TVT (Total Vehicle Treatment) sponsored race car to showcase and market its products. The TVT race car uses TVT Anti-Friction Metal Treatment in its lubrication lubrication, introduction of a substance between the contact surfaces of moving parts to reduce friction and to dissipate heat. A lubricant may be oil, grease, graphite, or any substance—gas, liquid, semisolid, or solid—that permits free action of  oil to increase power and torque and reduce friction (see press release dated April 4, 2001) and also uses Millennium Fuels' new racing fuel (see press release dated June 11, 2001), which uses an affiliated BAT International product as an octane boosting additive in the fuel.
