Q: How can I get a good upper-body workout Workout

A: There are many exercises you can do in your home without any weights to get a strong and toned upper body.

Push-ups on your knees or with legs straight out are great for your arms and chest. Start out with two sets of 10 and build up to two sets of 20, three times a week.

Dips on a chair or the edge of your bathtub are great for the back of your arms.

Hand presses are great for your arms. Place the palms of your hands together with your elbows pointing out to the sides. Push your hands together as hard as you can and hold for 30 seconds. Try to do this three times during the day.

Upper Body Stretch

When you work out the upper body or just have tightness in your shoulders and upper back, a good stretch is what you need. When these muscles are tight they bring the shoulders forward, causing the shoulders to round or hunch hunch

. Stand up straight with the side of your body next to a wall. Extend the arm closest to the wall straight out and press the palm of the hand against the wall. Gently rotate the entire body away from the wall, keeping the palm on the wall and stretching the shoulder. Hold for as long as you can. Repeat on the other side.
