BASIC TRAINING CARB CONSCIOUSNESS.

Why does a person need to eat carbohydrates?

Well, carbs are important. Everyone needs energy, and the best source of energy comes from carbohydrates. There are several types of carbohydrates. They include brown rice, wild rice, sweet potatoes sweet potato, trailing perennial plant (Ipomoea batatas) of the family Convolvulaceae (morning glory family), native to the New World tropics. Cultivated from ancient times by the Aztecs for its edible tubers, it was introduced into Europe in the 16th cent. , potatoes, pasta, wheat bread wheat bread

Carbohydrates provide the body with energy during resistance training and cardiovascular activity. The brain also runs off carbs. Have you ever felt tired, moody and hungry? I know I have. This is because your body is depleted de·plete

of calories, especially carbohydrates. Professional sources typically suggest that an individual consume 55 percent to 65 percent of carbohydrates in his or her diet.

But doesn't a person get fat from eating too many carbs?

Yes, but think about it like this: What are you going to be doing for the next three hours of your life? Are you going to work out at the gym, or participate in a recreational activity with a loved one or friend? If yes, then eat some carbs. Are you going to sleep? Then don't eat carbs. And if you sit behind a desk for eight hours a day like most Americans? Limit your carb carb 1

 intake to your activity level.

Use what you consume!

Remember: The body will not use what it doesn't need. This means if you don't use the calories, your body will store them as fat. So get out, be active, and be healthy!
