BASF Automotive Refinish Solutions has signed a multi-year agreement with Chip Foose, well-known automotive and product designer, to promote its waterborne automotive refinishes and to develop a new line of automotive refinish colors under the Foose name.

Foose owns Foose Design, a company that specializes in illustration, graphics, ideation model making, surfacing and complete construction of automobiles and automotive related products.

"Chip Foose has long been a friend of BASF and a fan of our automotive refinish paints," said Darlene Eilenberger, director of marketing for BASF Coatings in North America. "We are very excited about taking our relationship with Chip to a new level as we work with him to create a new line of custom colors."

BASF will debut its Foose-inspired automotive refinish paint colors later this year.
