BASF gives back to the neighborhood.
More than 200 employee volunteers from BASF worked on a one-day construction blitz to build a new playground for the Beechridge apartment community in Raleigh, N.C. The team-building project was done in conjunction with KaBOOM!, an organization that leads community-build projects nationwide, and DHIC DHIC - Detrusor Hyperactivity with Impaired Contractility, a nonprofit housing development company. "Nationwide, there are too many communities that do not have enough playgrounds, much less adequate ones, and we are energized by the opportunity to provide children with a fun play area," said Andy Lee, director of business operations, U.S. Crop for BASF.
