BASF and Nufarm Americas, Inc. Sign Supply Agreement for Imazapyr.

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. -- BASF and Nufarm Americas, Inc. have entered into a multi-year supply agreement for the herbicide Imazapyr for use in non-crop markets. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Under the agreement, BASF will expand the market availability for Imazapyr-based products by drawing on the strength of the combined distribution channels of BASF and Nufarm Americas, Inc. BASF will continue to actively market its Imazapyr-based product line, which includes Arsenal(R) herbicide, Arsenal(R) herbicide Applicators Concentrate, Habitat(R) herbicide, Sahara(R) herbicide and Stalker(R) herbicide. Nufarm Americas, Inc. will develop and commercialize its own range of products based on Imazapyr, beginning in some markets in 2006.
