BASF AG, Ludwigshafen, Germany, plans to close its Agro Research Center in Princeton, N.J., by the end of the third quarter next year in a move that will cost 500 jobs. BASF will base its agricultural research in Ludwigshafen / Limburgerhof, Germany following its acquisition of the crop protection business of American Home Products in July of last year. Major development activities will be concentrated in Limburgerhof and Research Triangle, N.C.
