BASF, Mount Olive, N.J., and General Mills, Northwest Grain Operations, Minneapolis, have signed a commercial agreement to provide growers with new varieties of herbicide-tolerant CLEARFIELD Clearfield, city (1990 pop. 21,435), Davis co., N Utah; inc. 1922. Hill Air Force Base, to the northeast, is the state's largest employer. Clearfield is the site of Utah's largest industrial park and has diversified manufacturing.
