SHAUN KORT

Jr., OF/LHP, El Camino Real El Camino Real (Spanish for The Royal Road or The King's Highway) was the name of a series of pre-automobile highways linking the various New World colonies of Spain:

In his first varsity season, Kort quickly emerged as one of the region's premier players and a key to El Camino Real of Woodland Hills' first City championship since 1998. He was named City Player of the Year and West Valley League Co-MVP.

Kort was at his best in big games, making it no surprise he was selected the City's top player of the postseason. He went 2 for 3 in the City final, including a two-run triple in the sixth inning that broke open the eventual 5-1 victory over top-seeded and rival Chatsworth. He went 8 for 12 with eight RBI in the last three playoff games.

As if figuring out how to beat two-time defending national champion Chatsworth wasn't a big enough task, LaCour had to keep the Conquistadores of Woodland Hills focused amid controversy, which included two forfeits. ECR went 28-6 and was named Cal-Hi Sports' baseball team of the year. The Conquistadores won three of their four matchups with Chatsworth, including a 5-1 victory in the City final at Dodger Stadium     [ . Other highlights included reaching the final of the Mizuno Classic The Mizuno Classic is an annual golf tournament for professional female golfers on the United States LPGA Tour, jointly sanctioned the LPGA of Japan Tour. It has taken place every year since 1973 at various locations in Japan.  in Florida, where ECR lost 8-6 to Monsignor Pace of Opa Locka, Fla., the No. 1 team in the nation at the time.

CASEY HAERTHER

Jr., 1B, Chaminade

The three-year starter batted .474 with 38 RBI and nine home runs for the Mission League co-champions. He is an All-Southern Section Div. II pick.

COREY JONES

Jr., 2B, Camarillo

Jones was selected Ventura County Player of the Year and Pacific View League MVP (Multimedia Video Processor) A high-speed DSP chip from Texas Instruments, introduced in 1994. Officially introduced as the TMS320C80, it combines RISC technology with the functionality of four DSPs on one chip.  for batting .476 with 10 home runs and 40 RBI. He hit for the cycle in a victory over Hueneme of Oxnard.

MIKE MOUSTAKAS Mike Moustakas (born September 11, 1988 at Chatsworth, California) is a Shortstop[1] who was drafted by the Kansas City Royals of Major League Baseball 2nd overall in the 2007 Major League Baseball Draft.

The All-City player hit a school single-season record 12 home runs and batted a team-high .482 with 18 doubles and 51 RBI. He committed just one error for the West Valley League champions. Moustakas also was an All-State football player and Cal-Hi Sports' sophomore of the year.

MATT DOMINGUEZ Matt Dominguez (born June 27, 1978 in Georgetown, Texas, United States) is a top receiver for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League. Matt attended Sam Houston State for college were he was the team's MVP twice and the school's first NCAA division I-AA

Dominguez followed a record-setting freshman season by batting .412 with 10 home runs and 49 RBI. One of those home runs was a towering shot at Dodger Stadium in the City final.

SAMMY SAMMY Scholar Athlete Milk Mustache of the Year  DONABEDIAN

Sr., C, El Camino Real

The UC Irvine-bound senior was valued just as much for his leadership and defense as he was for hitting .500 with five home runs, 15 doubles and 29 RBI. He is an All-City selection.

RYAN LAVARNWAY

OF, Sr., El Camino Real

An All-City honoree, Lavarnway was one of the most consistent contributors to the City champions' offense and was errorless in the field. He batted .482 with eight home runs and 46 RBI.

TREVOR BLOOM

So., OF, Palmdale

Bloom was the team's hottest hitter from the start and finished among Golden League leaders in several offensive categories. He batted .500 with eight home runs, 37 RBI and a 1.057 slugging percentage In baseball statistics, slugging percentage (abbreviated SLG) is the most popular measure of the power of a hitter. It is calculated as total bases divided by at bats:  to earn first team all-league recognition in his first varsity season.
