Such celebrations are not typical for an undefeated team in a victory over a sub-.500 opponent, but records become meaningless when Chatsworth and El Camino Real El Camino Real (Spanish for The Royal Road or The King's Highway) was the name of a series of pre-automobile highways linking the various New World colonies of Spain:

The Chancellors (8-0 in league) are two victories away from matching the school record for consecutive wins.

ECR found just as much reason for encouragement. The performance showed the Conquistadores are focused on baseball after being shocked by the firing of their coaches two days earlier.

``There's no distraction anymore,'' co-interim coach David Hussey David Hussey (born July 15, 1977) in Morley, Western Australia is an Australian cricketer who has represented Australia at under 19 level in his youth. If you don't want to do what's expected, you can leave.''

The Conquistadores responded by taking a 3-0 lead in the first inning Thursday. Christian Hariot and Jason Kort paced ECR with two hits each, including a two-run triple by Hariot to ignite the sixth-inning rally. The first two hitters reached in the seventh, but the potential winning run was erased when Greg Acheatel was picked off first.

``What we showed is we can compete,'' Conquistadores co-coach Mike Maio said. ``Now we want to win.''

Chatsworth didn't take the lead until the fourth inning. Spadier's two-run triple capped a three-run inning.
