), hosted a VENTURE Workshop on Saturday June 1 which attracted emerging high-tech companies. Most companies were located in the Bay Area, but the workshop also attracted clients from as far away as Japan and Australia. Crosby Heafey Roach roach: see cockroach.

Entrepreneurs with emerging technologies ranging from software to alternative energy to biotechnology learned to write an effective two-page business plan designed to attract the attention of funders and show how they would earn a 100-1 return on investment in 10 years. A top team of experienced professionals led the session including Art Chait, former VP Marketing of Solectron; Hal Nissley, founder of International Angel Investors; Jim Berg James Arland Berg (b. 1952) is a writer on biblical topics, especially counseling, discipleship, and Christian growth. Venture capitalists usually expect higher returns for the additional risks taken.
