BART To Hold News Briefing at Wednesday's Land Use Management and Transportation Forum.


OAKLAND, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 8, 1999--

A News Briefing is scheduled for 10:10 a.m. Wednesday, November 10 following the first segment of the Land Use Management and Transportation Forum.

The Forum, which is being held in the West Hall of the Oakland Marriott Hotel and Convention Center, begins at 8 a.m. with breakfast, and the program beginning at 8:30 continues until noon with a 20-minute break at 10:10 a.m.

The news briefing will be held in a sectioned-off area directly behind the area where the Forum is located. Entitled "Where do We Grow from Here?" the Forum will take a hard look at the concept of transit-oriented development A transit-oriented development (TOD) is a mixed-use residential or commercial area designed to maximize access to public transport, and often incorporates features to encourage transit ridership. , and future BART Extensions, with perspectives from leaders representing a broad section of the Bay Area.
