BART PLUS TICKET PRICE GOES UP

BART PLUS TICKET PRICE GOES UP
OAKLAND, Calif., Dec. 31 /PRNewswire/ -- The price of BART Plus

regional transit tickets will go up by $2 effective Jan. 1, 1992, to better reflect the costs of the participating bus operators.
Launched in April, the BART ticket and flash pass combination is good on AC Transit local rides, BART Express buses, the County Connection in Contra Costa County, the Dumbarton Bridge Express (local service only), the Martinez Link, SamTrans, San Francisco Muni, Santa Clara County Transit and Union City Transit. Each ticket is good for a half-month period, the 1st to the 15th and from the 16th to the end of the month.
Tickets will still come in eight denominations. They will now range from $24, for $15 worth of BART trips plus unlimited rides on the other BART Plus operators for a half month, to $57 for $50 worth of BART with unlimited local bus rides for a half month. (See following for details.) The pass still features the "last ride bonus," which allows the rider to complete a final trip on BART no matter how little BART stored value is left.
BART Plus users get up to 20 percent off the combined BART-bus cash fare.
The Regional Transit Association is a consortium of the region's largest public transit operators.
